About LCC

I cannot remember a time when a book was not within grasping distance. The love of books has been a constant in my life inspiring me to dream and create. From the time my granddaughter Ava was big enough to listen and understand, I would spin tales and as she grew soon participated in the stories, each of us taking turns injecting our imaginative adventures into the subject matter. These stories would go on for weeks and we still continue this creative exercise. Ava can rarely be seen without a book in her hand; is an inspiration for my writing and provides hands on "kid" critiquing.

A graduate of Marietta College and The Graduate School of Banking, Louisiana State University, a banking career and two successful entrepreneur businesses later, I am finally following my lifelong dream of writing children's books. As co-owner of a juvenile manufacturing company for 17 years, we created and designed art, furniture, and soft goods for babies and toddlers. This creative practice and experience in the juvenile world helped expand and strengthen my desire to write, to educate, to inspire children to develop a love of books and delight in wondrous stories.

During the past few years, in and around a full (more than full) time career I have been developing a series of books which is in the final stages for submission. In addition, a short story has been submitted to a competition in 2015. While this was my first writing submission, it was a huge leap. With this passion is a will to succeed!

My time is shared between Florida and Idaho, beaches and mountains, running, biking, hiking and of course writing along with my yellow lab, Jane Austen.
